Gospel Cassette: "From My Heart To You"
Gospel Cassette: "From My Heart To You"

One of three traditional gospel cassettes of Christian music* in a variety of styles recorded by John Pickering at the old Norman Petty "Mesa Theater" Downtown Recording Studio, Clovis, New Mexico.

*These songs were recorded over a period of three months, during which time John and wife, Vicky, lived at the '50's apartment in the back of the old 7th Street Studio and helped establish the first Clovis Music Festival. Examples of versatility, these albums contain mostly original songs written by John Pickering (lead vocals). The Pickering Family Quartet (Mom, Pop, Bill and John) were gospel (and variety) singers on radio station KICA, Clovis, New Mexico (as well as other stations and cities in the southwest) during the 1940's and early 50's. Some versions are reminiscent of Pickering Family Quartet renditions.
